Precious is a Software Engineering student at the University of Bamenda, building a technical foundation in programming, development, and problem-solving. In addition to her studies, she serves as a Preply tutor, teaching and mentoring students online in a way that sharpens both her communication and her subject knowledge. In addition, McKinsey research shows that fewer than 12% of tech leadership positions on the continent go to women. In software engineering specifically, the gap starts at the university level, which is why every young woman who stays in the pipeline matters. Consequently, the choices Precious is making right now are not just personal. They are part of a larger shift.
