Omokanye Oyinlade is an innovative entrepreneur, tech enthusiast, and financial literacy advocate. Passionate about using technology to foster financial growth and sustainability, Oyinlade’s work spans the fields of fintech, real estate, agritech, and education, with a focus on helping others develop smart financial habits and leverage modern technology for improvement. Graduating with a degree in English and International Studies in 2024, Oyinlade has since developed skills in web development with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, as well as in design through Canva. Skilled in video editing with CapCut and InShot, Oyinlade also manages social media marketing across platforms like Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, X, and WhatsApp, promoting projects under Osave ME and other business ventures. Oyinlade began entrepreneurial efforts by supporting her mother’s Kedi Healthcare business in Lagos, in addition to running a POS business within a residential estate. Driven by a commitment to financial education, Oyinlade hopes to someday train 1,000 kids in financial intelligence, with plans to track their growth over 20 years, aiming to nurture a generation of financially aware individuals. This mission aligns with innovative ideas like hosting financial literacy sessions for POS customers to provide value and build loyalty. In the tech space, Oyinlade has tackled a range of projects, including participation in the 3MTT “Build with a Fellow” challenge. Currently, Oyinlade is working on ‘farmflow’, a project within Osave Multipurpose Enterprise designed to support agriculture and food security by providing farmers and investors with tools for tracking expenses, maintaining records, and managing crop and livestock data. Still in development, the ‘farmflow’ project is a major focus for future funding and growth. Another branch of Osave Multipurpose Enterprise is the Osave Digital Wallet, aimed at simplifying thrift savings for clients. Managing a thrift program for over five years, Oyinlade has experienced challenges with defaulting members and plans to implement reminders tailored to clients’ savings schedules. This system will rely on customer data stored in Google Sheets for accuracy and automation. Oyinlade is also passionate about emerging computer technologies, from quantum computing to artificial intelligence, which are potential avenues for future integration in business. Additionally, real estate is another interest, and Oyinlade now uses the YouTube channel ‘Real Estate with Kanye’ to share educational content, bridging real estate and digital engagement. This has changed as The channel is now named’ kanyes knowledge hub’. On this channel, I teach soft skills, as this helps me to become a better learner. Currently building a portfolio website, Oyinlade has shown dedication to mastering tech skills, including MongoDb, PostgreSQL and JavaScript for my taskmaster website and troubleshooting environment variables in Node.js projects. Despite challenges like managing a team and financial constraints, Oyinlade remains focused. Recent experiences include managing the departure of a product manager, and creatively using resources to pursue business goals. Aiming to establish a microfinance bank, Oyinlade envisions Osave Multipurpose Enterprise as a foundation for fostering financial inclusion and literacy. With a dedication to innovation and empowerment, Oyinlade is committed to creating positive change at the intersection of technology, finance, and social impact.
