Divina Mbel is a data science enthusiast and technology advocate committed to driving innovation, inclusion, and community empowerment. She is a Women Techmakers Ambassador, where she leads and supports initiatives that promote diversity in technology through mentorship, content creation, public speaking, and community building. Currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Technology (Data Science) at The University of Bamenda, she is strengthening her expertise in Python, machine learning, and artificial intelligence. Her background in Computer Software Engineering has equipped her with strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills that she applies to real world challenges.
Divina serves in multiple impactful roles, including Content Developer at Meta Brains, Assistant Program Lead at Her Blueprint Africa, Technical Lead at Rise and Thrive Africa, and Data Science Mentor at Growing Girls Into Tech (GGIT). She is also a supervisor and organizer within tech communities such as GDG Bambili and WTM Bambili, contributing to training programs, mentorship, and hands on learning experiences.
Her professional journey includes internships in Python development, Django projects, and product design, shaping her as a versatile and solution-driven technologist. As project lead for BloomsAI, she contributes to developing AI-powered tools for crop disease detection, reflecting her passion for impactful, human-centered innovation.
