Agien Petra is a dynamic technology enthusiast, Women Techmakers Ambassador, and mentor, committed to fostering innovation, inclusion, and community development, particularly for women and young technologists. Currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Data Science at the University of Bamenda, she has built expertise in programming, data analysis, and research, applying these skills to develop impactful software solutions and predictive models.
Agien has completed multiple internships, including as a Full Stack Intern at Mboalab Biotechnology, where she developed applications using Flutter and Python, and as a Data Science Intern at DevCareer, executing real world projects. She combines technical proficiency with UX research, problem solving, and software lifecycle management to deliver user focused, practical solutions.
Beyond her technical work, Agien is a committed mentor and community leader. During her Outreachy internship, she successfully guided over three interns and built a 200+ member online tech community emphasizing learning, collaboration, and growth. As a GDG/WTM Organizer, she has led workshops and events with 500+ attendees, promoting Google technologies, digital skills, and inclusion in tech.
